That Time Eric Overslept

This past Saturday, Eric, Noel and I met up for a quick sunrise hangout. It had been awhile since we’d seen Noel. He had been traveling around the Philippines recently and we wanted to hear all about it. We met up at a local peak in town for sunrise. We spent some time making photos under the pink skies but the best part was just hanging out. We spent a good amount of time making fun of Eric for almost missing sunrise altogether. I went to pick him up at 5am and he slept through all his alarms, all my messages and phone calls trying to wake him up. After twenty minutes, I decided to abandon ship. I messaged Noel to let him know what happened and that i’d meet him shortly. Twenty minutes later I got a message from Sleeping Beauty, “Dude, I overslept! So sorry, I’m on my way.” Turns out he was awake until almost 2am earlier that evening. He eventually made it to the overlook just in time for sunrise and a healthy dose of mocking from Noel and me. All jokes aside, it’s always great seeing the fellas. We’ll see each other again in a few weeks for our trip to Big Sur.
