The Wonderful Gift of Chance

As I look back at my body of work from 2025, I am so grateful for the opportunities to be outside and experience these quiet moments. Health, time and a support system are blessings that allow me to be able to make images each year.

This year reminded me how much I appreciate a simpler approach to image making. More focus was put on making the time to go outside rather than when to go outside. With all the data available on apps and websites to inform you on what your time outside will be like, I found it refreshing to simply go and be surprised. It made the moments and images more special. It is the wonderful gift of chance.

Below are some of my favorite moments out in the field in 2025. They are packed with so many fond memories of the California coast, the desert and of course plenty of adventures around home.
