Not too long from my return from my annual fall color trip, I was back on the road again but this time to the Northern Sierra Nevada area. This was a family trip so no early escapes for sunrises or sunsets. I did bring my camera to capture family memories and any landscapes if they presented themselves while we were out.
We spent a lot of time on various lakes skipping rocks and exploring quiet backroads. Fall color in the area ranged from peak to slightly past peak at the higher elevations; all very beautiful. As we drove home we agreed that we had to come back again soon to spend more time in the area as it was so enchanting. Everyone we met was really friendly and the food spots we visited were great. We will be back again soon.
